IPhone 11 vs 11 Pro camera Reddit

This guy always makes me want to do something special for my iPhone photography comparison shoot. Hopefully I find some interesting locals this weekend.

I just wish people could understand how insane those shots are. Yes it’s akin to a post processed photo since it’s not “straight out of the lens” but you get it a moment after shutter click. For any of the low light photos, I’d be bracketing exposure and running it through software later for the same effect on the big camera.

For the well actually guys, yes, using my big camera will ultimately get better results, but as I stated on twitter, its becoming more and more likely that my expensive camera takes a back seat to the iPhone for all but the most specific and planned shoots. I’m obviously not shooting a wedding on my iPhone, unless requested.

I’m dying to try this out, Friday can’t be here soon enough.

I just got one and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The XS Max last year felt just a tad too big for my tastes. And the 11 Pro Max is thicker and heavier which would just make it even more uncomfortable for me.

The 11 Pro nailed it for sure. Excellent battery life, triple camera, and most importantly for me, OLED.

iPhone 11 Pro is no where near the sales of iPhone 11 and still lagging behind the 11 Pro Max. Which begs the question, why did you pick it? Same reasons as me? Or are they different?

Edit/update: It’s clear that the differences between the Pro and Pro Max are apparent to pretty much all of you. If you haven’t voiced your opinion on the post, what about against the 11? What about the Pro made you drop $300 extra? Given the incredible value price point on $700?

Reading all of these reviews makes me happier I'm upgrading. The camera really has stepped it's game up. Can't wait for deep focus to get released and see how that helps!

On the bilateral charging: “ A person familiar with the matter told me it’s not something the company included and the inevitable teardowns of the phones won’t reveal any special coil for it. This highly positioned person at Apple also reminded me not to take all rumors as truth. So take that for what you will.”

I’m glad that’s that rumour shut down

level 2

It doesn't actually require a special coil... of course you won't find one.

I'm so torn between upgrading from my X to a 11 Pro Max and riding it out with my X for another year. I just don't think they've done enough to merit the upgrade. Idk, am I wrong?!

level 2

Objectively, you are wrong. Subjectively, you are right. Every year the new iPhone will always be objectively an upgrade. Better processor, better camera, better battery life, better whatever. It’s up to you if you deem those upgrades worth your money. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.

level 2

I updated from X to Pro Max. Honesty I could’ve waited another year, but sprint is letting me upgrade so I said fuck it

level 2

Battery life?

Personally the XS is fine for another year but not sure on the X

Anyone know where to get the wallpapers he used on his review units?

Apple were really smart choosing the ultra-wide over the telephoto. As an 8 plus user who constantly uses the telephoto to capture portrait shots of customers for prelim photography before the real shoot, I have no choice to spend an extra $300 on the "pro" phone since the vanilla 11 doesn't have a 2x lens any more. 52mm equivalent is a must if you want to take head and shoulder shots distortion free at full resolution and is the "classic" WYSIWYG length.

level 2

Tell me about it. I went 7+ to X to XR and I miss the telephoto lens. So debating between 11 and 11 pro but I also don’t want to go to a smaller phone again either haha

level 2

Youre a pro photographer and use iPhone? Or just the telephoto mode? (Theres a telephoto mode?) im a total noob photographer who likes taking city and wifey IG photos and just got the 11 pro max. Hoping to take my photography/ vidoegrapht to the next level (has a 6s before).

Be it a 911, be it a Submariner, be it an iPhone.

amen fuckin goals man. though I’ll take a Daytona instead.

I think just looking at hardware Samsung’s Galaxy phones are the best phones being made right now. However I still prefer Apple’s combined package of hardware, software, product ecosystem, and customer service.

level 2

updates to the best phones on the market originated the new best phones on the market.

debatable

I absolutely cannot wait to see the RAW files out of these cameras.

I’ve got an 8 plus, is it worth me going for the pro max? Disappointed they’ve removed the 3D Touch, I’ll miss that a LOT.

level 2

The keynote and all articles referencing Deep Fusion stated it'd be coming in a software update in the fall.

I wished Apple could have used A12’s Neural Engine to bring over some of the camera features to last years iPhones. Needed night mode badly on my XR.

level 2

They absolutely could have. They didn't because they are greedy

I guess we're at a point where the only even remotely interesting thing about new phones is the camera.

Does the iPhone 11 or 11 pro have a better camera?

The iPhone 11 has a dual-lens rear camera system, while the iPhone 11 Pro has a triple-lens system. All models include an ultra-wide lens and a wide lens, but the 11 Pro adds a telephoto too. To make comparing iPhone 11 vs iPhone 11 Pro easier, the ultra-wide and wide cameras are the same on all three devices.

Does the 11 Pro have better camera?

The regular iPhone 11 offers great dual cameras, but the iPhone 11 Pro offers a third camera for optical zoom, giving you more range. Apple's new Night mode produces amazing results in very low light and even surpasses the Pixel 4 in some cases.

What is difference between iPhone 11 and 11 pro?

Both are excellent phones, as you would expect. iPhone 11 Pro has a better screen and an extra lens on the camera – iPhone 11 is slightly larger yet easier on the pocket.
