Can i use itunes gift card for apple music

Found something special in the App Store, iTunes Store or Apple Books? You can send it to a friend or family member. Or if you're not sure what to give, you can email a gift card.

Gifts are billed to your payment method, not to your Apple Account balance.

Open the App Store app, iTunes Store app or Books app.
Tap the item you want to give.
Tap the Gift button:
- In the App Store, tap the Share button
  , then tap Gift App
  .
- In the iTunes Store, tap the Share button
  , then tap Gift
  .
- In the Book Store, tap Gift
  .
Follow the onscreen instructions to personalise and send your gift.
After the gift has been sent, the recipient will receive an email. When they open the email and click Redeem, the item will be automatically downloaded to their device.

On your Mac, open the iTunes Store in the Apple Music app. Or on a PC, open iTunes.
Find the item you want to send as a gift.
Click the arrow button
next to the item's price to display sharing options.
Choose Gift This [item type].
Follow the onscreen instructions to personalise and send your gift.
After the gift has been sent, the recipient will receive an email. When they open the email and click Redeem, the item will be automatically downloaded to their device.

If the recipient can't find the email with the redeem button, you can resend the gift.

Open the Settings app.
Tap your name.
Tap Media & Purchases, then tap View Account.
Sign in with your Apple ID.
Tap Gifts.
Tap the gift that you want to resend.
Make sure the recipient's email has been spelt correctly. If you need to edit the recipient's email address, tap their email address, then tap it again and enter the correct address.
Tap Resend Gift. If you can't see Resend Gift, it has already been redeemed.

Open the Music app. Or if you're on a PC, open iTunes.
From the menu bar, choose Account > View My Account. You may be asked to sign in with your Apple ID.
The Account Information page appears. Scroll to the Purchase History section and click Manage Gifts.
Click Edit next to the gift you want to resend.
Make sure the recipient's email has been spelt correctly. If you need to edit the recipient's email address, click the email address, then make changes.
Click Resend Gift.

The recipient of your gift must have an Apple ID in your country or region. For example, if you're in the United States, you can't send a gift to a friend who lives in Australia.
In some regions, you can't send gifts. Store availability also varies by country or region. Learn what's available in your country or region.
If you're using Family Sharing and Ask To Buy is turned on for your account, you can't purchase gifts.
You can't gift individual songs on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. To send a song as a gift, use your Mac or PC.
You can't send apps, TV programs or films as a gift on a Mac or PC. To send these items as a gift, use an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
You can't send a free app or item as a gift. But you can tap the Share button
or the arrow button
to share a link to the app or item.

If you want to cancel a gift, you can contact Apple Support up to two days before the scheduled delivery.

Your recipient can redeem an Apple Gift Card or App Store & iTunes gift card to their Apple Account balance. Then they can use that balance to buy subscriptions like Apple Music, Apple Arcade or Apple TV+. Or they can buy apps, films, books and more from Apple.

Use your Apple Gift Card at an Apple Store to buy products and accessories. Or redeem it in the App Store and use it for apps, subscriptions such as Apple Music or iCloud+, purchases from apple.com and more.

Apple Store Gift Cards are a solid colour (grey, white, silver or gold) on the front. On the back of these cards, you can find:

A link to a website where you can check your gift card's balance.
Text that says that the card can only be used in the Apple Online Store or Retail Store, or that you can't redeem the card in the iTunes Store.
A phone number that you can call if you need help.

In most countries and regions, you can use an Apple Store Gift Card in an Apple Store or at apple.com. In France, Germany, Singapore and Switzerland, Apple Store Gift Cards can only be used in an Apple Store, not on apple.com.

If your card looks different from the cards above, it might be an older card, but you can still redeem it. Just follow the steps on the back of the card.
