Youtube video stuck on processing HD Reddit

Hey guys.

So I have about a week left to upload this video to YouTube, see below some details about it, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Video is 158GB in size

Video is 6 hours and 24 minutes long

Video is in 1440p and 60fps

Video was encoded and rendered in .MP4 format, I uploaded over 100 of videos to youtube before using same exact settings and similar length videos before and never had problems.

i tried to refresh browser, delete the video and reupload, but no luck.

i7-7700k

16GB RAM

GTX 1070

Multiple SSDs

1x 5TB USB 3.0 Drive that has the video on it that I need to upload

using Firefox to upload the video

This has happened quite often to me lately. It will say it's still processing but when you click it, it thens plays in 1080P up to 4K. I just go ahead and publish and have never had any issue as it always shows up in 4K across my various devices.

I can't make heads or tails of Youtube's processing time, it seems completely random. Some 1 hour 4K videos process in 10 minutes, others take days... and sometimes they say they're still processing when it's done. ugh

another example, yesterday i uploaded 3 videos:

first i uploaded a short 1 minute video , after it done uploading i decided to add a short text to it so i edited the original one and uploaded it, so there are 2 basically identical videos in my 'channel content'.

then in the evening i uploaded another 4 minutes video.

when i left the computer at night, none of the videos were done processing 1440P res while 1080P was ready just after the upload completed.

ok so now its the next day's morning and a very strange thing happened, the first and last videos (first 1 minute and the 4 minutes) are done processing but the second 1 minute video i uploaded is still processing.

this makes no sense whatsoever!

all of the videos are at the same settings of 1440P@60FPS with 50Mbps bitrate, why the 4 minutes video will be ready before the 1 minute video that were uploaded HOURS earlier?

i wish Youtube was a little bit more transparent about this.

Im trying to upload a video on a newly made channel, the video uploads correctly but is only available in SD version, and infinately says HD-version processing.

The vid is literally a 1080p 60fps, 5 minute video...

I have 100mb up and down, so thats not the issue, nothing is using my internet except youtube. Whats going on?

It's been 6 hours now and youtube is still showing the video as processing. The only thing I did differently was I pressed publish before it was done processing whereas the previuos times I let it finish first.

Really don't wanna have to re-upload because it took 2 hours (clip is only 15 mins, just slow upload) to get it up there the first time and it completely slows down the entire network to pretty much 0 (including the download for some reason).

The youtube FAQ said give it 8 hours but it also said the video should say "Uploaded (processing)" but mine only says "Processing."

Is there seriously no way to just tell it to re-process without needing to delete the entire thing??

Edit: The file is 406MB.

Update: After 8 or 9 hrs it was still stuck, so just ended up deleting & waiting another 4hrs for re-upload/processing. It's up now & all good though! I think it may have been because I left the page AFTER uploading but DURING processing, making it get into a strange state possibly?... not something that should make a difference since there shouldn't be any changes to processing or the processing state from the client side, though I suppose developers do strange things sometimes...
