Me as well as my friend emailed her over a dozen times with no responds. Now let me just say it is not about the $20. It is more so the fact that she collected $20 from over 20,000 people and haven't produced a book. You would think that she was never selling a book. I can corroborate with the OP. Ms Bling Miami was indeed selling a book which she promoted on her IG page for about 4-6 months. I did not purchase it because I don't purchase anything without reading REVIEWS from others first. The book seemed like it would be an interesting hood novel. Why buy a pre order from a non established author? Self publishing is easier than ever thanks to digital content so she could have released that first and used the funds for the hard copies. Either way it is ZERO reason to take pre orders that far in advance. If an author can't afford printing it's on them not the people waiting on their product to pay for that issue. Furthermore I hate hate hearing about losers like this making a come up. Because as Black people we are never individuals we stay getting piled together. I know plenty of talented designers, mua, jewelry makers, illustrators who properly utilize social media platforms to connect with an audience.
