Check out what are the most Googled questions globally below! 1) What dinosaur has 500 teethAnswer: Nigersaurus Image Credit: animals.howstuffworks.comI don’t know about you, but when I think about something having 500 teeth, I imagine it to be a carnivore. Nigersaurus isn’t, though: it eats plants! It’s also about 30 feet long, and lived about 110 million years ago in what is now known as Niger’s Sahara Desert. It had a wide muzzle filled with more than 500 replaceable teeth, and the rate of replacement was rapid at about 14 days. 2) Why were chainsaws inventedAnswer: Originally invented to help with childbirth Image Credit: businessinsider.comThe image that popped up in my mind is horrifying. Anyway, the story is that chainsaws, invented in 1780, helped remove pelvic bones in a less messy and less time-consuming manner. (For when the baby got stuck in the birth canal, or other complications arose.) And before chainsaws were invented, the bone was removed using a small knife and saw. In the middle of childbirth. Without anaesthesia. (Thank God for medical advancement.) These medieval chainsaws aren’t the gigantic things we associate with lumberjacks (a small relief); they actually look like a modern-day kitchen knife with teeth that wound in an oval. 3) What is loveAnswer: ??? Ah yes, the elusive question. What, is love? Everything that popped up on my search results first include YouTube MVs of songs entitled “What Is Love?” and then it tips straight into deep, philosophical, and in certain cases, religious meanings of love. Here are the top three results that showed definitions of love:
If you ask me, love is food, thank you very much. 4) What time is it in CaliforniaAnswer: It depends on what time you Google it I actually have a follow up question to this: why do people want to know the time in California, specifically? But if you want to know, Malaysia is 15 hours ahead of California at time or writing. That may change depending on daylight savings. 5) How are youAnswer: “Fine, and you?” Just to be clear, I didn’t come up with that answer, but according to the first result I clicked on, this is the only correct way to answer the question “how are you?” Personally, I always give it a bit of thought before I answer, and it also depends on who’s asking, but to each their own. My current answer: Good, you? Other top results also show similar educational methods on how to answer this question. 6) What happened to MondayAnswer: What Happened to Monday is a 2017 dystopian science-fiction action-thriller film directed by Tommy Wirkola and stars Noomi Rapace, Glenn Close and Willem Dafoe Image Credit: medium.comIf I’m being honest, I’m actually much more interested to know the answer to “what happened to Monday” as a day, but okay. Regardless, take good care, guys! 12) What is a prime numberAnswer: A number that is divisible only by itself and 1 (e.g. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11) This is probably the most straightforward question on this list, so we’ll leave it at that. 13) How many seconds in a yearAnswer: 31,536,000 seconds Interesting fun fact, good for “did you know?” type of situations.
