A few months back, my 14-year-old daughter developed a sudden interest in politics.

She insisted that she wanted to get C-Span to watch government proceedings and interviews of noteworthy policymakers.

We had DirecTV, and I browsed how to get C-Span on DirecTV. Since my daughter got hooked on the channel, we were also forced to watch it most of the time, and in the end, my wife and I were among its regular viewers.

Since the channel is getting more viewers as it streams content from the state as it is, without drama-induced narratives, I thought of writing an article on its availability and programs in it.

C-Span is available on Channel Number 350 on DirecTV, which you can access directly from the remote or from the channel guide. Its popular shows are NewsMakers, Washington Journal, and In-depth.
