  • e) c or d if two numbers are x,y then LCM(x,y)*HCF(x,y)= x*y => 630*9 = xy ------------(1) given, x+y = 153 -----(2) from (1)&(2) x(153-x)=630*9 => x^2 -153x + 90*63 = 0 => (x-63)(x-90)=0 => x = 63,90 (x,y)=(63,90)or(90,63) ratio = 63/90 = .7 or 90/63 = 10/7

  • let the nos. be x and y lcm*hcf=x*y 630 * 9 = x*y x*y = 5670 x+y = 153 but let us check in options...since most of the options have 10 and 7 so let us take 10 and 7 the hcf is 9..we will multiply 9 by 10 and 9 by 7 we will get 90 and 63 and these values are satisfying the equations so x=63 y=90

    or we can also solve the equations by substitution method ;)

  • the nos. will ne 90 & 63 lcm=630,hcf=9,sum=153 so ratio is either 10/7 or 7/10
