How To Change Your Agoda Booking

Agoda.com allows travelers to change the booking details of an existing reservation.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to change your dates, the primary guest name and credit card details on your Agoda booking.

How To Change Your Booking Dates

First, sign into your Agoda account.

Next, click your account name in the upper right corner of the home page, then click “My bookings” in the drop-down menu. Under “Upcoming Bookings”, find the booking you want to amend, then click “Edit booking”.

You’ll see “Change dates” beside the check-in and check-out dates. Click this to adjust your dates.

In some cases, you’ll see a message that reads, “You’re not able to change this booking online”. If so, you must contact Agoda’s Customer Support directly and they’ll assist you further.

How To Change The Guest’s Name On Your Booking

*You must change your booking’s primary guest name if you’re transferring it to another person.

To do so, find the booking in the Upcoming Bookings section in your account, then click “Manage guests” in the Guest name row.

Enter the new guest’s name in the pop up box.

The name you enter should match the person’s ID/passport. If it doesn’t, they could be rejected at check-in. As with date changes, hosts reserve the right to refuse a change of the primary guest. In this case, you can message your host to let them know why you’re making the change.

How To Change Your Credit Card Details After Booking

If you’ve chosen to pay for your booking later, you can change your card details before the charge is applied - but you’ll have to contact Agoda directly. Agoda prefers to handle credit card details via phone rather than email (to minimize potential fraud issues).

• Call Agoda customer support at: +44 (0)20 3027 7900, or

• Email Agoda through the Customer Support page

Helpful Tips!

• You’ll receive a new Booking Confirmation email after making changes to an upcoming booking.

• You’ll be shown the price differential for your new booking after making date changes. If the new price is less than the original, you’ll be refunded the difference. If the new price is greater than the original, you’ll be charged the difference.

• Hosts determine their own policy regarding booking date changes. Some hosts don’t allow date changes, particularly when it comes to reservations in busy seasons.

• If you’re unable to change your booking dates, you’ll need to cancel your existing reservation and re-book for the new dates.

  • If your booking offers free cancellation and the “cancel by” date hasn’t passed yet, you can cancel free of charge. If your booking is non-refundable, you’ll incur the cancellation fee outlined in your host’s cancellation policy.

  • You can find your host’s cancellation policy in the “Booking conditions” section of your booking in the Upcoming Bookings page.
