Before you dispose of the device prematurely, consider some common troubleshooting tips.

First, however, it is important to understand the different components of a disposable, to help you understand where the issue may lie.

Cartridge

With disposables, there’s no separate cartridge that can be detached from the device, but it is there, hidden beneath the chassis. The cartridge holds the CBD vape oil, and has a mouthpiece at the top that allows enough air to flow so that you can draw the vapor into your mouth without needing to push any buttons.

Coil

The coil is built inside of the cartridge, and it’s a metal heating element that has a wick to absorb the e-juice. The coil is responsible for taking the power of the battery and using it to heat up the e-liquid absorbed in the wick, as this process converts the vape oil into vapor.

Device

Finally, there’s the device component, or the battery. The battery capacity can range from 280mah to up to 1000mAh, based on the size and juice capacity of the disposable device. The battery is designed to last for as long as the e-liquid inside the cartridge and is non-rechargeable.

How to Troubleshoot a Disposable CBD Vape Pen

So, if your disposable device just won’t provide you with vapor no matter how hard you pull, what next?

#1: Tap it

Sometimes, a disposable’s failure to hit is simply due to an air bubble in the cartridge that’s preventing airflow. If this is the case, try tapping or flicking the side of the cartridge a few times, as this should break it up. Be careful, of course, not to hit it too hard, or you can end up cracking a part of the device.

#2: Try to Dislodge Debris in the Mouthpiece

In some cases, the issue is a clogged mouthpiece. If you keep your disposable in your pocket, purse or a cluttered drawer, pieces of debris such as clothing lint, bits of paper and all kinds of things can end up getting jammed in the mouthpiece. Try to look inside to see if anything is blocking the airway. Then, grab a small, pointy object like a safety pin or a toothpick and gently work around the inside of the mouthpiece to try to remove whatever may be stuck in there.

#3: Check the Battery

Most disposables give you some kind of indication that the battery is working when you pull on them. Often, this is a light that glows as you inhale. If your device has one of these indicators and nothing is happening when you pull, then the issue may be a dead battery, which is a manufacturing error that is unfortunately not fixable.

#4: Consider that the Unit is a Dud

Once in a while, you may just get a dud due to one of many manufacturing errors, such as faulty internal connections, a burnt out cartridge or, as said above, a battery that is already dead. If this is the case, you’ll need to just cut your losses and buy a new device.

In many cases, a disposable device that’s not hitting can be remedied with the solutions detailed above. But, in some cases, it’s a lost cause, as the manufacturer made a critical error that means that no matter what, you can’t fix your CBD vape pen. Why your Disposable Vape light is Blinking?

You have a disposable puff bar, but the light has changed from green to red, or it's blinking. This means that you need to replace the battery. Sometimes, you can learn how to recharge a disposable vape. But even when you do, don't expect any significant results. It is designed to be used for about a week before being thrown away.

Less time to absorb e-liquid.

When you take a hit, the coil heats and vaporizes the atomized juice. However, if you continue to use the pen without pause and the wick does not have time to absorb more liquid, it will dry out. This can lead to your pen not releasing any clouds. Most models have a side window where you can monitor the amount of juice left in the cartridge. Be sure to check the level regularly so that you know when it is time to buy a new pen.

You might be able to get some additional puffs

Ever wonder how to get the most out of your vape? The simplest way is to take shorter puffs. You’ll use less power and so your battery will last longer. This can cause a vape to malfunction. To fix this, first pry open the mouthpiece and check if the cotton is in the correct position. If so, try using tweezers to rearrange it so that it absorbs more vape e-liquid.

It's possible that your device's circuit has shorted.

Disposable electronic cigarettes come with a built-in circuit protector to prevent short circuiting. But, even the best circuit protector can't always guarantee a faulty device won't happen. If you see blue blinking light at the bottom of your cigarette, it's time to discard it and get a new one.
