What sneaker size sells the most

Buying certain sneakers for retail and selling them on the aftermarket can lead to instant profit that you never that was possible.

Just last weekend, I bought a pair of Ambush x Nike Dunk Highs in the ‘Flash Lime’ colorway and instantly sold it as a pre-order on eBay within 15 minutes of listing.

The profit I made? $120.

It’s simple as that. However, something you might want to consider when you start reselling sneakers is the sizes you choose to buy and sell. It’s true that some sizes in certain brands sell significantly better than others.

Unless you’re constantly checking the prices on StockX or GOAT, this might not be something you considered. After all, it’s hard enough to get some of these sneakers. Never mind, trying to aim for specific sizes you think might do better on the aftermarket.

I’ve included a few basics you can start with when deciding on which sizes to buy and sell for the best profit.

Best sizes for Yeezys

Since Yeezy Day recently passed, let’s start here.

The best sizes for Yeezys are smaller sizes (5.5–8) and larger sizes (13 plus). I couldn’t tell you exactly why but I’m pretty certain it’s because fewer pairs of these sizes are produced.

However, if you have the right colorway of a pair of Yeezys — like ‘Bred’ 350 V2s for example — then size tends to not matter as much. All sizes will shoot through the roof if people really like the sneaker.

Best sizes for Jordans

For Air Jordans, the best sizes can vary but typically bigger sizes do better than smaller sizes. We’re talking 12 and up.

Once again, it’s most likely because fewer pairs are produced in these sizes so demand doesn’t have to be insanely high for the sneakers to go up in value on the aftermarket.

GS (grade school) sizes can also do well for Jordans but typically only between 5.5–7 will really sell well.

But just like with Yeezys, if it’s a popular pair of Jordans then they will do numbers on the aftermarket no matter which size you have.

The magic size

Ther is a magic size that a lot of people shoot for because it’s almost automatic that it will do well on the aftermarket.

The magic size: 12.5.

This size is produced in extremely low numbers but a lot of people wear it so it’s almost always valuable.

My secret to benefitting from this magic size is by going for it if a sneaker is a general release. You’ll find general release sneakers are easier to get this size and the aftermarket value of this size of sneakers will be the first to take off before other sizes do.
