Is there free roam in Need for Speed Most Wanted Android?

A central feature of many recent Need For Speed games has been the online free roam mode. Driving around an open world with your mates and being able to challenge others was an immersive (and most importantly, fun) experience, but when Payback was released last year, it was absent.

It wasn’t supposed to be, but by the time of launch it was one of a number of things which didn’t make it into the final game, something which upset many long-time fans of the series. Developers Ghost Games have remedied this now, however, and the mode - now called Alldrive: Hangout - has been added as part of an update.

The update brings a few more goodies, too. As well as some new customisation options in the form of new tyre smoke and underglow colours comes something called Catch-Up Packs.

These can be bought from the tuning shop for in-game credits and will help boost your car to either level six, 11, or 16, depending on which pack you buy and presuming you’ve progressed far enough in the game (the first one will unlock at the end of chapter three). They should come in handy if you want to avoid having to grind in order to mod your cars to the max!

Free Ride (also known as Free Roam, Free Run in the Underground series, and Test Drive in older releases) is a game mode that is featured in Need for Speed: High Stakes, Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, Motor City Online, the Underground series, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Need for Speed: Carbon, Need for Speed Carbon: Own The City, Need for Speed: Undercover, Need for Speed: World, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010), Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012), Need for Speed: Rivals, Need for Speed (2015), and Need for Speed: Payback.

Free Ride allows the player to freely roam around the game's setting. All titles that do not have an open world location allow the player to drive on a track without any lap limitations and opponents instead.

I am sorry if this has already been answered, but can someone please tell me if there will be a free roam online mode? I remember Burnout Paradise having it and it was a great experience.

Apparently you can, but that's just from what I've read. You can set up a room and just not do any chellenges or races.

How the heck do I do to get into Free Roam mode?? The instructions say "go to the safe house," however, when I go into career mode, it goes straight to a race.... then there does not seem to be a safehouse while racing, and when you pause out of the game/race, there is no option for the Free Roam or Pursuit, etc. What am I doing wrong.... not very logical... I cannot be the only person to have this issue... Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks. -T

Do you have 5-1-0? If not, are they going to film clips then races? When you first start the game, you have to go throught a series of races before you can do anything. Hope that helps!

It goes to a film clip... then into the race... How many races do you have to win to get to the free roam material??? Thanks!

It's only a few. If I remember correctly, it's like three or so. Keep playing, you'll get free roam soon.
