My friend gifted me a Hasbro Obi-Wan Force FX Lightsaber, but somehow the power switch broke off from the shaft and yanked the wiring to the circuit board with it. I was able to disassemble the piece up to a certain point--the black plastic cylinder holding the circuit board was removed from the aluminum outer casing, but I see no way to open this plastic cylinder to be able to solder the power switch wires back onto the circuit board. It looks like it's also super glued together. Is there an actual method to open this thing or do I have to carefully pry it open with a screwdriver or something, then glue it all back together when I'm done? I know it's a long shot, but I'm hoping someone has had this exact same problem. It's just my Jedi costume just arrived for Halloween and of course I realized this huge problem when I tried to turn on the lightsaber today. Someone save me! Picture of the piece here http://i.imgur.com/m8HEk2n.jpg (also posted to r/answers, though I think it's more likely to get a response on this sub) My force fx elite Ahsoka Tano lightsaber keeps doing the flash on clash effect when I swing it. Does anyone know how I can fix this? from lightsabers
