Link your PlayStation account to Twitch

Linking your PS account to Twitch is the fastest way to start streaming directly from your console. In a few easy steps, we’ll help you get connected!

1. Start off by accessing the Setting menu.
2. Select the Account Management option
3. Select the Link With Other Services
4. Finally, select Twitch
5. Follow the sign-in instructions. These will prompt you to use https://www.twitch.tv/activate/profile or to scan a QR code. These are best done with a mobile or PC device handy
6. Your PS4 will give you a code which you have to enter on either your PC or mobile device

After you’ve entered the code, your PlayStation will be linked with Twitch!

Broadcasting your gameplay videos

Now that you’ve successfully linked your PlayStation to Twitch, its time to stream! Streaming to Twitch from your PS4 is super easy, just follow the steps below;

1. Boot up the game you want to stream to Twitch
2. Tap the Share button on your PS controller.  
3. Select Broadcast Gameplay.
4. On the Broadcast Gameplay page, select Twitch as your streaming service of choice.
5. Next, choose your video options. These can involve choosing a title for your stream as well as the video quality. You can even invite specific friends to the stream!
6. Select Start Broadcasting.

Now you’re broadcasting your gameplay stream to Twitch! In the event that you want to end your broadcast, simply tap the Share button on your PS controller, select Broadcast Settings and choose Stop Broadcasting.

Upload your PS4 clips to Twitch

You can also upload videos to Twitch, but that requires you to at least be a Twitch Partner or Affiliate. To become a Twitch Partner, you need to have streamed for over 25 hours, on 12 different days, and have an average of 75 viewers. 

In order to upload your videos to Twitch, you will have to first download them from your console. Unfortunately, downloading your PlayStation clips to your PC is not as straightforward as directly streaming to Twitch. This situation requires a bit of a workaround if you want to manually upload your clips to Twitch. Here are the steps to do so;

1. Tap the Share button on your controllers
2. Select the Upload Video Clip option
3. Choose the clip you want to upload and edit it for length if need be
4. Upload your video to Facebook/Twitter

Now your video will be uploaded to your connected social media platform. The next step is to use a third party video downloader such as FDownloader to download your video using the Facebook URL. Once downloaded, your video is ready to be uploaded to Twitch. Follow the steps below;

• Go to your Twitch homepage to sign in, and then click your Profile icon in the top right corner.
• Select “Video Producer.”
• Click the Upload button and select the video you want to upload
• While your video uploads, you can add information like its title, description, tags etc.
• Click “Save Changes” when you’re done!
